William Cornett is a freelance writer and photographer based in
the Washington, DC area. He has written articles for The Washington
Post, Washingtonian Magazine, Times-Journal Newspapers, and dozens
of other publications. He has also done public relations writing
for several high-tech firms, including Sync Data Corporation and
Mobile Telesystems, Inc. His photographic credits include assignments
for National Geographic World Magazine and Outdoor and Travel Photography
Magazine, and his images have been featured on more than two dozen
magazine covers. He was the photography editor for the Prince George's
County Herald, and he served concurrently as the associate editor
and the director of photography for Sidelines Magazine. His areas
of special expertise include the wireless communications industry,
radio-electronics, Attention-Deficit Disorder, medicine, and recreation.
While on assignment, he has met Prince Charles and Princess Diana
at the White House, kayaked wild rivers with world-class explorers,
ridden a 1,500-lb competition rodeo bull, and B.S.-ed his way into
a restricted police training program at the FBI Training Center
in Quantico, VA. He lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife
and two young daughters, and an extremely strange dog of undetermined
parentage. He has just completed a mystery novel and is a published
science fiction writer.
