Jim MacPherson has been in the fast lane of print and broadcast auto journalism for more than 20 years. His articles have been published in the Hartford Courant, Providence Journal, AAA’s Journeys magazine and Home and Away Magazine. He has written two auto-related book: Buying and Leasing a Car and Driving Survival, and for the last two years has been the main writer for the annual AAA Auto Guide: New Cars and Trucks. Each week, Jim devotes a portion of his Connecticut-based automotive radio program to covering employment opportunities in the auto industry, primarily at the dealership level. And his background as a mechanic specializing in electrical and air conditioning systems gives him a first-hand understanding of  issues that  grind the gears of people in the automotive trades.
